Is Employee Engagement the Same as Employee Satisfaction?
Although there is a very important difference between being satisfied with a job and being committed to it, these two concepts are often confused. If you have a good employment contract and the employer fulfills the terms of the contract and you fulfill your contractual responsibilities, you are usually satisfied with that job. You have a "give and take" exchange relationship with the place where you work. Commitment is about values. Where there is commitment, there is meaning in the work and there is a bond that goes far beyond exchange.
