Executive Coaching
Coaching is a personal learning and development process facilitated by a trusted advisor.
The Success Programme Executive Coaching process is an in-depth learning experience that creates self-awareness, leads to personal and professional development and targets areas of effective leadership. The process utilizes a variety of assessments and coaching sessions to identify an individual's past experiences, current leadership skills and future potential. Coaching is aimed at strengthening all areas of an individual's leadership skills. Unlike standard coaching models, the goal of this process is not only to change what the leader does and how he or she does it, but also to bring out the "best in the person" so that he or she can lead with sincerity and purpose.
Process overview
To support the manager's development, the coach facilitates an increase in self-awareness, encourages action and holds the person accountable. A process that repeats itself many times throughout the coaching period is used:
- Awareness:
This process involves providing feedback to the individual on where they currently stand in terms of behavior and performance. Using a series of assessments, the individual is presented with a detailed picture of their attitudes that are working and those that are not. The person also becomes clearly aware of their strengths and areas for improvement, which correspond to their personal aspirations. These assessments are done by identifying the person's personality preferences, personal weaknesses and strengths, competencies, derailing habits, desires and life goals, and values through people analyses such as Reiss motivation analysis, 360-degree feedback and 180-degree feedback. - Action:
Based on the desired behaviors and goals, each session focuses on a few action items that need to be addressed before the next session. These action items focus on both long-term and short-term goals. The goals are both personal and organizational. The goals include specific metrics that are tracked and evaluated throughout the coaching period. The coach also provides tools to help the individual set and achieve goals long after the coaching period has officially ended. - Accountability:
This is an iterative process, not a one-off. Each time one of the elements to be held accountable is addressed. To support accountability, work results, measurements, evaluations by others, feedback from the manager, i.e. all kinds of tools that encourage accountability are used. The idea is to make the individual feel responsible for their actions and their consequences.
Coaches
Success Programme executive coaches are not only among the best coaches in Turkey, but also experts in the learning process and the psychology of human behavior. Each coach has a specialization in psychology or another behavioral science, extensive experience in consulting with executives, and considerable life experience in the field of human development.
Coaching sessions
After the first coaching session, coaching sessions are held at fifteen-day intervals. Together with the manager, the coach determines the regular coaching sessions, but also provides additional coaching and support when needed. The coach and the manager communicate regularly via email throughout the process.
Assessments
The Success Programme conducts a series of leadership assessments. Some of them are (according to the customer's need):
- Reiss Motivation Analysis
- Leadership Intelligence® 360 Survey
- Individual Employee Engagement Survey
- Engaging Leader 180 Survey
- Emotional Judgment Inventory (Emotional Intelligence)
While only the Reiss Motivation Analysis is sufficient as 80%, other analyses and additional psychometric assessments can be applied as needed depending on the needs of the manager and the organization. These assessments give participants a clear awareness of their behavioral style and how it affects those around them. All assessment results are summarized in a Leadership Intelligence Profile. This profile includes the full assessment results and a personal development guide. These documents are presented in a folder that will be used throughout the coaching process.
